I am an artist. I’ve explored classical music and studied art history; painted with watercolors and was, on several occasions, covered with chalk and charcoal while producing portraitures. I even sculpted with paper – from commissioned origami artwork for greeting card companies to building cultural masks for competition.

I also took on photography and it almost did not survive my own harsh criticism. Like the paradigm shift I got from drawing with chalk and charcoal, I was drawn to photography instantly. Photo lab was my second home, but the smell of chemical made me sick. I changed to digital photography in 2001, but in 2003, I dropped photography completely – disliked it to the core.

After 5 years of sabbatical, I did a photo session with a dog by the name of Batman. Though it did not come out the way I had envisioned it, something greater came of it – I saw the beauty in life and I wanted to capture more.

Today, my mission is to produce images with compelling breadth and depth.

I am an artist.

My medium: digital photography!
